National Philanthropy Day Award

Celebrate the Spirit of Giving

National Philanthropy Day is celebrated each November by over 100 AFP chapters around the world. This special day recognizes the contributions that individuals and organizations make to countless causes and missions in our communities.

In addition to honoring our six annual award winners, there are many other examples of meaningful giving that should not go unrecognized.  This year the Chapter created the Spirit of Philanthropy Award so that organizations would have the opportunity to honor someone within their own "family" who exemplified the spirit of philanthropy.  A Spirit of Philanthropy Award provides a meaningful opportunity to thank donors, volunteer leadership, and corporate sponsors who contribute significantly to your organization, have raised significant donations, or who volunteer a significant amount of time.
