National Philanthropy Day® is coordinated and
sponsored nationally by the Association of Fundraising
Professionals (AFP) to recognize the meaningful contributions of
those who enrich our communities through their charitable
actions.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the
leading organization for professionalism in fundraising and has
helped thousands of fundraisers to efficiently and ethically
raise philanthropic dollars by increasing their fundraising
skills and knowledge.
The Central Pennsylvania AFP Chapter is pleased to announce open
nominations for our annual National Philanthropy Day®
program to recognize outstanding philanthropic achievements by
individuals or organizations. Nominations are now being accepted
for the following categories: Youth of the Year, Volunteer
Fundraiser of the Year, Corporation of the Year, Foundation of
the Year, Fundraising Professional of the Year, and
Philanthropist of the Year. Visit

In addition to recognizing the recipients of
six leadership award categories, community members, AFP members
and National Philanthropy Day®
attendees have the opportunity to honor someone within
their own organization who exemplifies the spirit of
philanthropy with a Spirit of
Philanthropy Recognition. A
Spirit of Philanthropy
Recognition provides a meaningful opportunity to thank
donors, volunteer leaders, and corporate sponsors who contribute
significantly to your organization, have raised significant
donations, or who volunteer a significant amount of time. There
is no limit to the number of
Spirit of Philanthropy Recognitions that can be given.
For a fee of $75.00, your honoree will receive one complimentary
ticket to the National Philanthropy Day®
banquet, invitation to a private reception prior to the
luncheon, a beautiful commemorative gift that is specially
engraved for this occasion and recognition during the event for
his/her philanthropic achievements.
