AFP Central PA Committees: |
| Ways and Means |
- Secure sponsorships for the monthly
meetings and the annual conference.
Both entail relationship building for
the purpose of furthering the mission of
AFP, with the end result of enhancing
our professional development.

| Certification |
- Mentors candidates
preparing for the CFRE exam and
encourages chapter members to seek
certification.
|
|
|
| Conference |
-
Responsible for all aspects of planning
and implementation of the annual
conference. The committee meets
approximately once per month.
|
|
|
| Diversity &
Ethics Committee |
- To
promote diversity and inclusiveness of all
types with in the Chapter including,
geographic, economic, cultural and racial as
a way
to strengthen the Chapter and the profession
- To
promote the discussion of ethical issues and
provide opportunities for ethics education within the Chapter as a
way to strengthen the Chapter and the profession.

| National
Philanthropy Day |
-
National Philanthropy Day is a
special day set aside to recognize
the great contributions of
philanthropy, and those active in
the philanthropic community, to the
enrichment of the world. Celebrated
in more than 100 communities across
North America, National Philanthropy
Day provides an opportunity to
reflect on the meaning of giving and
all that giving has made possible.
This committee is charged with
selecting local awardees in multiple
philanthropic categories, and
organizing all aspects of the
chapter's special National
Philanthropy Day event, held in
November each year.

| Membership |
-
Increase
membership in the Central Pennsylvania
Chapter by 10%. Receive bonus ($20)
awarded for every additional new member
as stated in
the AFP Chapter Incentives Program.
Achieve
at least one Chapter Growth and Retention
Award (as detailed in the Chapter Incentives
Program) for Central Pennsylvania Chapter to
be awarded at the 2009 International
Conference.

| Scholarships |
- The Chapter is pleased to provide scholarships for education and professional
development. Scholarships are available for Central PA
Chapter members to offset the cost associated with the
local and/or international conference.
|
|
|
| Senior
Professionals |
- The Senior Professional
Committee plans programs of interest for our
chapter's senior members; and on behalf of
AFP, the committee secures presenters for
seminars on fundraising topics for agencies
and associations.
|

| Educational
Programs |
|
The
Educational Programs Committee provides
regularly scheduled meetings of the general
membership with speakers and time allotted
for, but not limited to, education,
professional development, chapter business,
and membership dialogue.
Specifically, the chair/co-chairs:
- Establish and maintain a diverse committee
of no less than two additional members.
During the selection process, the
chair/co-chairs acquaint potential committee
members with the general duties and
responsibilities.
- Coordinate activities for the monthly
luncheon meetings. The topics are determined
in accordance with the membership survey and
in collaboration with the general
membership.
- Arrange for introductory material on
speakers and honorarium for presentation to
speakers.
- Coordinate with the chapter administrator to
promote events, i.e., program descriptions
for e-mail blasts to membership.
- Coordinate with the chapter administrator to
secure speakers AV equipment needs with
meeting facility.
- Attend and report committee updates at
bimonthly board meetings.
- Maintain program records, which include
program descriptions and evaluation
summaries.
- Transfer to successor all records upon
resignation of office.

award form to National before the
deadline.
